Posted on

Kadang, cinta nggak perlu buru-buru.

(Sometimes, love doesn’t need to rush. This story is about Dilla and Arga learning to walk together slowly and finding meaning in each of their simple steps.)

Perjalanan Cinta Tanpa Terburu-buru

(Dilla sat uneasily in front of a plate of fried rice that looked so tempting. Her nose picked up the savory aroma that made her stomach growl louder. She looked around, hoping Arga would finish his business soon.)

(Arga, sitting beside her, was busy checking his phone. His right hand occasionally tapped the screen, while his eyes were glued to incoming messages. Dilla rolled her eyes, waiting patiently even though her hunger was starting to get the best of her.)

“Arga, ayo dong, cepetan!” Dilla berkata, suara sedikit kesal tapi tetap berusaha menjaga ketenangan.

(“Arga, hurry up!” Dilla said, her voice slightly annoyed but still trying to stay calm.)

(Finally, Arga lifted his head, noticing Dilla staring at him with pleading eyes. He gave a small smile and lowered his phone.)

“Udah sabar, Dil. Doa dulu bentar.” Arga berkata sambil merapikan kedua tangannya, bersiap untuk doa.

(“Be patient, Dil. Let me pray for a sec,” Arga said, getting ready to clasp his hands together.)

Dilla memiringkan kepalanya. “Doa dulu? Kayaknya lebih baik langsung makan, deh.”

(Dilla tilted her head. “Pray first? I think it’s better to just eat right now.”)

Namun, Arga hanya tertawa pelan dan mulai melipat tangannya. “Kamu bisa tunggu sebentar, kan? Sebentar aja, kok.”

(However, Arga just chuckled softly and began folding his hands. “You can wait for a bit, right? Just for a little while.”)

Dilla menarik napas panjang dan mengangguk pelan. “Oke deh, tapi cepetan.”

(Dilla sighed deeply and nodded. “Fine, but hurry up.”)

(The atmosphere around them felt calm, only the sound of Arga praying softly and sincerely. Dilla looked at the plate of fried rice again. The rice, starting to cool down, the tempting pieces of chicken, and the omelette that seemed even more delicious than usual. All of it made her eyes sparkle.)

(After a few seconds, Arga finished his prayer and opened his eyes with a wide smile.)

“Sudah, Dil. Sekarang kita makan.”

(“All done, Dil. Now we can eat.”)

(Dilla immediately grabbed a spoon, but before she could touch the rice, Arga swiftly snatched the piece of chicken from the plate.)

“Eh! Itu ayam aku!” Dilla langsung teriak, matanya membelalak.

(“Hey! That’s my chicken!” Dilla yelled, her eyes wide open.*)

Arga hanya mengangkat bahu dan tersenyum nakal. “Bukan cuma ayam kamu, ini ayam kita, Dil.”

(Arga just shrugged and grinned mischievously. “It’s not just your chicken, it’s our chicken, Dil.”)

(Dilla snorted and shot him an annoyed glance, but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “You’re really good at stealing food.”)

(Arga laughed, then casually picked another piece of chicken and placed it on Dilla’s plate. “Here, this one’s for you, to make it fair.”)

Dilla menatap ayam itu sejenak, lalu tersenyum puas. “Makasih, Arga. Kamu masih bisa dipake lah.”

(Dilla stared at the chicken for a moment, then smiled contentedly. “Thanks, Arga. You’re still usable after all.”)

(Arga laughed again, and they began eating together, sharing small pieces of rice and side dishes, with no more words needed. The meal tasted even better because of their togetherness, which, though simple, felt so enjoyable.)

(As they finished eating, Dilla leaned back in her chair with a satisfied sigh.)

“Kenapa aku ngerasa kenyang banget ya? Padahal cuma makan satu piring.”

(“Why do I feel so full? We only ate one plate.”)

Arga mengangguk setuju. “Iya, emang.

(Arga nodded in agreement. “Yeah, exactly. It’s like this plate isn’t just about eating, but also about sharing.”)

Mereka saling tersenyum, merasakan hangatnya kebersamaan yang jarang mereka rasakan sebelumnya. Sesimpel makan bersama, tetapi begitu berarti.

(They smiled at each other, feeling the warmth of togetherness they hadn’t felt before. Something as simple as eating together, yet so meaningful.)

(After eating, the atmosphere grew quieter. Dilla and Arga walked out of the small eatery, the sun was starting to set, and the sky, which had been bright blue earlier, was now turning into a golden orange. The evening breeze touched their skin gently, making Dilla feel a little more at ease.)

(“By the way, I’ve got a surprise for you,” Arga said suddenly, breaking the silence between them.*)

Dilla menoleh, mengernyitkan dahi. “Ke… kejutan?”

(Dilla turned, furrowing her brow. “A… surprise?”)

“Yup, tapi kamu harus sabar dulu. Nanti juga kamu tahu,” Arga menjawab sambil tersenyum, jelas-jelas melihat Dilla yang mulai penasaran.

(“Yup, but you’ve got to be patient first. You’ll find out soon enough,” Arga replied with a smile, clearly noticing Dilla getting curious.*)

Dilla menatapnya tajam. “Kamu ini kalau kasih kejutan, malah bikin aku tambah penasaran. Gimana sih?”

(Dilla shot him a sharp look. “You and your surprises, they just make me more curious. What is it?”)

Arga cuma tertawa, melambaikan tangan ke depan seolah mengusir rasa penasaran Dilla. “Nanti, Dil. Sabar aja.”

(Arga just laughed, waving his hand in front of him as if trying to shoo away Dilla’s curiosity. “Later, Dil. Just be patient.”)

Dilla mendengus, tapi akhirnya menuruti.

(Dilla snorted but decided to comply. They walked together along the busy sidewalk, chatting about little things like the weather and food, until they reached a small park in the middle of the city.)

(“Why here?” Dilla asked confused, looking around at the quiet park.*)

Arga hanya tersenyum lebar. “Ini bagian dari kejutan.”

(Arga just smiled broadly. “It’s part of the surprise.”)

(Dilla fell silent, feeling like something was off, but followed Arga’s lead. They walked a few steps further until they reached a park bench. Arga sat down and patted the seat next to him, signaling Dilla to sit too.)

Dilla akhirnya duduk di sebelah Arga, matanya masih penuh rasa ingin tahu. “Kamu suka banget bikin orang penasaran, ya?”

(Dilla finally sat beside Arga, her eyes still full of curiosity. “You really love making people curious, huh?”)

“Biar seru, dong. Kalau langsung kasih tahu, nanti nggak seru.”

(Arga laughed again, the smile never leaving his face. “Makes it more exciting, right? If I just tell you right away, it wouldn’t be fun.”)

(Dilla looked at Arga, who was still so relaxed, while her heart raced. She felt like there was something different about this moment. Everything felt more… intimate.)

(“So, what’s this surprise you’re talking about?” Dilla asked again, but this time there was a hint of anxiety creeping in her voice.*)

Aku suka sama kamu.”

(Arga nodded slowly, looking at Dilla seriously for the first time since they met that day. “Dil, I need to confess something to you. I like you.”)

Dilla terdiam. Kata-kata itu seperti tersangkut di tenggorokannya. Ia menatap Arga dengan mata terbuka lebar.

(Dilla fell silent. Those words seemed to get stuck in her throat. She stared at Arga, her eyes wide open.)

Aku nggak mau nunggu lagi.”

(“Honestly, I didn’t know how to say this, but this is the right moment. I don’t want to wait anymore.”)

“Kamu… suka sama aku?”

(Dilla felt her heart pounding faster, the blood rushing through her veins. “You… like me?”)

(Arga nodded again, this time with a slightly awkward smile. “Yeah. And I hope you’re not mad or turned off by it.”)

(Dilla couldn’t say anything. There was just a long silence, while Arga waited for her response with a worried expression.)

“Aku… nggak tahu,” jawab Dilla akhirnya, suaranya bergetar sedikit.

(“I… I don’t know,” Dilla finally answered, her voice trembling slightly.)

(Dilla looked down, trying to catch her breath, which had become a bit heavy. Her feelings were a mix of shock, confusion, and a little nervousness. Arga was still sitting next to her, waiting anxiously, and Dilla could feel his hopeful gaze on her.)

“Aku… nggak tahu harus jawab apa, Arga,” ujar Dilla pelan, suaranya hampir tak terdengar.

(“I… I don’t know what to say, Arga,” Dilla said quietly, her voice barely audible.)

Arga mengangguk, mencoba memahami. “Gak apa-apa, Dil. Aku cuma pengen jujur sama kamu. Kalau kamu butuh waktu, aku bisa tunggu.”

(Arga nodded, trying to understand. “It’s okay, Dil. I just wanted to be honest with you. If you need time, I can wait.”)

Perasaan Dilla jadi semakin kacau.

(Dilla felt a weight suddenly lift. Arga had always been patient and never rushed, but this time, it felt different. Her feelings were becoming even more tangled.)

(“Why me, Arga?” Dilla asked, her voice firmer this time, though still laced with tension.)

(Arga smiled softly, gazing at Dilla with eyes full of certainty. “Because you’re different, Dil. You’re not like the others, and that’s what makes me feel at ease.”)

(Dilla felt something warm flowing inside her chest. Arga’s words were so sincere, they made her heart feel a little lighter. But there was still a part of her that hesitated.)

“Jadi… kamu benar-benar serius?” tanya Dilla lagi, ingin memastikan.

(“So… you’re really serious?” Dilla asked again, wanting to be sure.)

Arga mengangguk tanpa ragu. “Serius. Kalau kamu butuh waktu, aku bisa tunggu, Dil. Aku nggak mau buru-buru. Yang penting, kamu tahu apa yang aku rasain.”

(Arga nodded without hesitation. “Serious. If you need time, I can wait, Dil. I’m not rushing. The important thing is that you know how I feel.”)

(Dilla stared at Arga for a long time, feeling the sincerity in every word he said. Something inside her began to open, though she wasn’t fully ready yet.)

“Arga, aku nggak tahu gimana harus balas perasaan kamu,” jawab Dilla, suara sedikit lebih tenang. “Tapi… aku akan coba.”

(“Arga, I don’t know how to return your feelings,” Dilla replied, her voice a little calmer. “But… I’ll try.”)

Arga tersenyum lebar, matanya bersinar penuh harapan. “Itu sudah cukup, Dil. Aku nggak minta lebih.”

(Arga smiled widely, his eyes shining with hope. “That’s enough, Dil. I’m not asking for more.”)

(Dilla felt relieved, though a lingering confusion still haunted her. They both fell silent for a moment, only hearing the sound of the wind gently blowing and the rustling of leaves around them.)

Tiba-tiba, Dilla merasa tangan Arga menyentuh tangan kanannya, membuat jantungnya berdegup lebih kencang. “Dil, kamu nggak perlu khawatir. Aku nggak akan buru-buru. Aku hanya ingin kita mulai jalanin ini, pelan-pelan.”

(Suddenly, Dilla felt Arga’s hand touch her right hand, making her heart beat faster. “Dil, you don’t need to worry. I’m not rushing. I just want us to take this one step at a time.”)

(Dilla turned, looking at their hands touching, then back to Arga’s face full of hope. Something inside her told her that this was the right step, even though she wasn’t completely sure yet.)

“Baiklah, Arga. Kita coba,” ujar Dilla akhirnya, matanya berbinar.

(“Alright, Arga. Let’s give it a try,” Dilla said finally, her eyes shining.*)

Arga tersenyum lebar, matanya bersinar cerah. “Terima kasih, Dil. Aku janji nggak akan nyesel.”

(Arga smiled broadly, his eyes shining brightly. “Thank you, Dil. I promise you won’t regret it.”)

(They sat together on that park bench, just the two of them. No more words were spoken, only a calm and a sense of mutual understanding flowed between them. And in the middle of that silence, Dilla felt a spark of new hope growing in her heart.)

(Time seemed to slow as they sat together on the park bench. Dilla felt a rare tranquility, something she had always sought but rarely found. Arga sat next to her, no pressure, just two people sharing space in silence.)

“Arga…” Dilla akhirnya membuka suara, meng打 sejenak setelah beberapa waktu berlalu. “Aku nggak tahu kenapa, tapi aku merasa bisa nyaman sama kamu.”

(“Arga…” Dilla finally spoke, pausing for a moment after some time had passed. “I don’t know why, but I feel like I can be comfortable with you.”)

Arga menoleh, wajahnya penuh rasa lega. “Itu yang aku harapkan, Dil. Aku cuma pengen kamu merasa tenang.”

(Arga turned, his face filled with relief. “That’s what I hoped for, Dil. I just want you to feel at ease.”)

Dilla menatapnya, kemudian melirik ke arah langit sore yang mulai berubah warna menjadi merah muda. “Aku nggak tahu gimana nanti, Arga. Tapi aku yakin, kita bisa berjalan bersama, pelan-pelan.”

(Dilla looked at him, then glanced at the evening sky, turning pink. “I don’t know how things will be, Arga. But I’m sure, we can walk this path together, slowly.”)

(Arga smiled, full of conviction. “Taking it slow is better. What matters is that we have time to get to know each other.”)

Dilla merasa lega.

(Dilla felt relieved. She didn’t have to rush, and Arga never forced her to take faster steps. They could walk side by side, even without words. Just the two of them, and that was enough.)

“Terima kasih, Arga,” ujar Dilla, suaranya pelan namun penuh makna.

(“Thank you, Arga,” Dilla said, her voice soft but full of meaning.)

Arga menggenggam tangan Dilla, lembut namun penuh kehangatan. “Aku nggak akan pernah nyesel, Dil. Aku janji.”

(Arga held Dilla’s hand, gently but with warmth. “I will never regret this, Dil. I promise.”)

(The two of them smiled, though there was a bit of doubt in Dilla’s heart, but she knew that this step was the beginning of a longer journey. The first step toward something more meaningful.)

(Slowly, they rose from the park bench and walked together. No more words were spoken, only footsteps that united, leaving a trace on the same ground.)

(As the sun began to set, Dilla felt her heart lighten. She knew their journey had just begun, and even though the future was still full of uncertainty, one thing was certain—they would support each other, one step at a time.)

(Arga turned for a moment, offering a meaningful smile. “Dila, thank you for giving us the chance to try this.”)

(Dilla returned the smile, and even though she knew the road ahead wouldn’t always be smooth, this time she felt ready to face whatever came. They walked together, and for the first time in her life, Dilla didn’t feel alone.)

(Sometimes we forget, not everything has to be rushed. Sometimes, what matters is walking together, enjoying every moment without forcing it. Just like Dilla and Arga, we all have our own time for that.)
