The High School Girl Who Lights Up Every Moment
Morning Energy – A Day That Starts with a Dance
That morning, I woke up with great enthusiasm. Since the first time I opened my eyes, I felt something different. The atmosphere outside looked bright, the sun was shining brightly, and the birds were singing happily. Today would definitely be a fun day.
I glanced at the clock on the bedside table, it was already 6:30. “Time to wake up, Yulia,” I said to myself in a low voice, even though inside I was already very excited. I rushed out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled, greeted myself, and said, “Today, I will live the day full of energy.”
Morning activities at my house usually start with music. I open the Spotify application on my phone and choose my favorite playlist which is full of pop and dance songs. The cheerful lyrics seem to call me to dance. I immediately move my body, to jump around to the rhythm of the music. This is the best way to start the day. Not only does it make me feel more enthusiastic, but it also drives away any laziness that sometimes comes.
“Come on, Yulia! Beautiful morning, don’t waste it!” I said while dancing in front of the mirror, a little funny. I felt so alive. In every little step I took, there was a sense of freedom, a sense of wanting to pursue my dreams and enjoy everything around me. I knew, today could be a day full of surprises and joy.
After a few songs passed, I calmed down for a moment and started preparing breakfast. Every now and then I glanced out the window, looking at the small garden in the front yard of the house. I like to see green plants growing lushly, flowers blooming, and fresh air that makes me feel closer to nature. Before breakfast, I sat for a moment enjoying a cup of warm tea that my mother made. Tea that tasted so comfortable, like the warmth of a friend’s hug. Mother always knows how to make my days feel better with her little attentions.
After finishing breakfast, I immediately grabbed my school bag. A bag that was already full of books, notes, and a stick of lipstick. I always feel that appearance is the first thing I have to pay attention to before meeting my friends and anyone else at school later. But what’s more important is the spirit I bring. I already knew, even though there were many tests and assignments at school, I had to keep smiling and enjoy every moment.
I stepped out of the house and headed to my motorbike. The road to school was usually not too far, only about 15 minutes from my house. During the trip, I opened the motorbike window and let the cool breeze touch my face. It felt like the world was so big and full of possibilities. I smiled to myself, enjoying this little moment. Every second felt precious.
When I arrived at school, I was immediately greeted by my friends. They were already waiting in front of the gate, ready to start the day with lots of jokes and laughter. “Yulia! Finally here!” shouted Dina, my best friend who could always make me laugh. Dina is the type of friend who can always lighten the mood. “You look so beautiful today!” she added, giving a compliment that immediately made me smile widely.
“You too! We’re both beautiful!” I replied while glancing at the small mirror in my bag.
We walked together to class. Along the way, we talked about everything, from assignments given by the teacher to plans for an adventurous weekend. Then, I saw Sari, a classmate who often complained about the pile of homework. “Yulia, how can you always be so cheerful? I feel like a robot who just works all the time,” she said, frowning.
I laughed and stroked her hair. “Assignments must be done, Sari. But remember, we also have to enjoy life. If not, when else can we be happy? If we work non-stop, we will never have time to have fun.”
Sari paused for a moment and finally smiled. “Thank you, Yulia. You always make my day easier.”
After a few minutes of chatting, the school bell rang, signaling that we had to go to class. However, I felt light-hearted and full of enthusiasm. The piling assignments, the upcoming exams, I felt like I could face them all as long as I kept a positive spirit in every step I took.
Today is the start of a fun week. I know that even though challenges will come, I can always face them all with my head held high, full of enthusiasm, and always remember to laugh with my friends. Because in the end, happiness comes from how we face each day, not from what we get.
Embracing the Challenges – A Step Closer to the Dream
Since this morning, my enthusiasm has never faded. I feel like I can conquer the world, especially after seeing my friends who always give me positive energy. Dina, Sari, and other friends are also excited to face the day, even though they know that assignments and exams await. But I still believe that if we face the day with a smile, everything will feel lighter.
The first day after last week’s vacation was always full of extra activities. As usual, my friends and I immediately met in class, chatting about school activities and various exciting plans that we would make after the exams were over. I saw a bulletin board full of announcements about school events, competitions, and various upcoming activities. One of them was an art competition that had just been announced, and I was very interested in joining. I have always liked things related to art, be it painting, dancing, or singing. Whenever there is an opportunity to show my creativity, I always want to participate.
“Yulia, are you joining the art competition?” asked Dina as we walked to the cafeteria. She always knows that I can never refuse an invitation like that.
“Of course I will!” I answered with a smile. “I can’t wait, it looks like it’s going to be really fun.”
The day went by quickly. Lessons came and went, and even though the assignments piled up, I still managed to face them with a smile. I was used to the pressure of school. Sometimes, it was hard, but I always tried to find small happiness in every opportunity. Moreover, after meeting my friends, I felt much better.
After school, I went straight to the art room to practice. This time, I decided to dance. I had been learning to dance for a long time, and it seemed like the right time to show what I had learned. When I entered the art room, I was greeted by my friends who were already waiting. We started practicing together, following the choreography that had been taught. It felt amazing to be able to do it with my friends. The flowing music, the harmonious body movements, everything made me feel free and happy. I felt that this was the best way to relieve stress after a day at school.
But even though I felt happy, there was a sudden feeling of anxiety. As time went by, I began to realize how many challenges I had to face. The art competition was not just participating in ordinary activities, but a big challenge. I have to be able to show my best, and sometimes it makes me feel pressured. I feel that if I fail, I will disappoint my friends and myself.
During practice, I see the enthusiastic faces of my friends who are also struggling hard. Everyone wants to give their best, and I don’t want to lose. However, the pressure is getting more and more intense. I have to think about study time, exams, and art competition preparations. It feels like running here and there, trying to complete all the tasks perfectly. There are times when I feel tired, even almost give up, but I know I can’t just stop like that.
In the middle of practice, I divert my attention for a moment and look out the window. The view of the evening sky reminds me of the days when I first entered this school. Back then, I felt doubtful about being able to survive, but now, I am much more confident. This journey is indeed full of challenges, but it is part of the process that I must go through to achieve my big dreams. I want to become someone who is not only talented, but also able to face all obstacles with enthusiasm.
“Come on, Yulia, you can do it!” said Dina, who suddenly stood beside me. “Do you know that I’m always inspired by you? You never seem to give up. Everyone can learn from you.”
I was surprised to hear that, and immediately felt warm inside. I just smiled and nodded slowly. Sometimes, small words from others can mean a lot. I felt a little more relieved, and my spirit returned. “Thank you, Dina,” I answered sincerely. “But we’re all struggling together. We can all do it.”
After the practice was over, I went home with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I felt happy because I had practiced to the max. However, on the other hand, the anxiety still loomed. There were still a lot of assignments, exams were still waiting, and the art competition was getting closer. But I promised myself, I wouldn’t give up so easily.
That night, I sat at my desk, trying to finish all the homework that had piled up. I felt a little better after the exercise and Dina’s motivational words. I knew I could face it, as long as I kept trying and believed in myself.
My days are not always easy. Sometimes, I feel tired, anxious, and sometimes I feel afraid of failure. However, I realize that this is part of the journey. These challenges make me stronger, wiser, and more ready to face whatever comes. I am sure that if I can get through it, I will be closer to my dreams.
Every step I take today is part of a long struggle towards a brighter future.
The Final Countdown – Push Through the Limits
That morning, I woke up with a slightly tired body, but an unwavering spirit. The sound of the alarm on my cellphone seemed to remind me that today was not an ordinary day. There was a lot that I had to face. The midterm exams were getting closer, and the preparation for the art competition was getting more intense. I felt that, even though I was tired, I had to do everything with all my heart.
My bedroom felt so quiet, only the sound of the ticking clock could be heard in the silence of the morning. I took a deep breath, then got up and started my morning routine as usual. Reminding myself to stay optimistic. “It’s not about who’s the fastest, Yulia. It’s about who can survive,” I said to myself while tying up my long hair.
When I arrived at school, I immediately met my friends. They looked enthusiastic, ready for a day full of exams and exercises. I, as usual, tried to look cheerful in front of them, even though inside I felt a little anxious. “How was the math exam?” Dina asked with a wink.
“I just hope I can answer all the questions correctly,” I replied with a laugh, even though there was tension in my chest. I know, it’s not just the exam that I have to face today. There are many assignments, presentations, and art competitions that are approaching the D-day. It feels like my days are full of piling up assignments, and I feel like I’m running non-stop.
When the lesson started, I tried to concentrate on every material that was taught. However, my mind couldn’t get away from the art competition that was getting closer. Every time I heard music, my brain immediately imagined the dance moves that we had to prepare. I wanted to perform at my best, and I knew that only hard practice could get me there.
In the afternoon, after the lesson was over, my friends and I gathered in the art room to practice. That day, the practice felt harder than usual. My body felt tired, and my mind started to get confused, trying to finish all the schoolwork that was piling up. But I didn’t want to give up so easily. I knew, this was not the time to back down. I had to keep fighting.
While my friends were busy practicing, I sat in the corner of the room, thinking about how to finish all the things I had to do. I opened my math book, trying to understand the formulas that seemed increasingly difficult. Every time I read a question, I felt like I was treading on the same path, no progress. However, I knew I couldn’t stop. I had to continue. I stared at the book with determination, even though fatigue was starting to take over my body.
Suddenly, Dina came over to me. “Yulia, what’s wrong with you? Why do you look so tired?” she asked worriedly.
I smiled thinly, even though I felt like my body couldn’t compromise anymore. “It’s okay, Din. I just need a little rest,” I replied, trying to cover up the anxiety that was starting to take over my mind. “I just need time to organize everything.”
Dina looked at me seriously, then pulled out a chair beside me and sat down. “Yulia, you can’t keep doing this. You need time for yourself. It’s not just about exams and competitions, you also need to take care of yourself. Don’t let yourself get sick.”
I nodded, but inside I felt anxious. How could I balance everything? I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. I wanted to prove that I could do it, even though sometimes it felt like there was too much to deal with.
After a short break, I rejoined my friends for practice. Time went by, and I felt closer to the peak of my struggle. Every dance movement I did felt smoother, even though my body was starting to get tired. I forced myself to keep moving, practicing, and not stop.
The days passed so quickly. Assignments kept piling up, exams came one after another, and preparations for the art competition were getting closer. It felt like running non-stop, but I knew that this was a journey that I had to go through. Sometimes, there were times when I felt doubtful, afraid of failure, but I tried to stay positive. I knew that if I could get through all these challenges, I would be closer to my dreams.
On a lonely night, when I finished studying and practicing, I sat alone in my room, looking at the night sky from the window. I felt tired, but also grateful. All of this struggle, even though it felt hard, brought me closer to my dreams. It wasn’t easy, but I learned that success is not just about winning, but about how much effort we put in to achieve it.
The next day, at school, the atmosphere was getting tense. The midterm exams had started, and in the art room, practice was getting more intense. I felt anxious, but there was a new spirit emerging. I wanted to show my best. Not only for myself, but also for my friends who always supported me.
“Come on, Yulia! You can do it!” Dina shouted while I was practicing. “We all believe in you.”
I smiled widely when I heard those words. Sometimes, small words can give great strength. I knew I was not alone in this journey. My friends, family, and everyone who cared about me gave me invaluable support. And I would fight, not only for my dreams, but also for those who were always by my side.
With a new spirit, I returned to practice. I knew there were still challenges, but I was ready to face them. That day, I stepped forward more confidently than ever, convinced that every step, every effort, and every prayer I fought for would bring me closer to the dream I dreamed of.
The Breakthrough – Finding the Strength to Keep Going
The days passed so quickly, and I began to feel how hard this journey was. The midterm exams were over, and although there was a slight relief, my heart was still awake with non-stop busyness. Not only the exams, but also the training for the art competition that was getting more intense. Behind every laugh and joy that I showed to my friends, there was anxiety that kept whispering in my heart. What if I’m not good enough? What if my efforts were in vain?
However, there was one thing that always strengthened me: dreams. I always imagined myself standing on stage, seeing the faces of my friends and family who were proud of me. That was the image that motivated me to keep going.
Every morning, I woke up earlier than usual. Finishing pending assignments, reading books, and practicing dance in the empty school room. Everything felt so challenging, but I knew, there was no shortcut to success. All of this requires struggle.
In between my preparations for the art competition and exams, I still maintained good relationships with my friends. Dina, my loyal friend, always encouraged me when I felt tired and hopeless. “Yulia, you can do it. Everything you fight for will definitely bear sweet fruit,” Dina said every time I told her about my anxiety.
But this time, I felt something different. The tension I felt was getting stronger, almost like there was a heavy burden hanging on my shoulders. I began to feel afraid of losing control. All the activities I did, everything I fought for, felt so fragile. If only there was a little time to stop for a moment and absorb everything.
However, I didn’t have time to stop. Dance practice was getting more intense, the exam was getting closer, and I felt like I had to be at my best. That day, I came early to the art room to practice, hoping to perfect every movement. I sat in the corner of the art room, staring at the large mirror in front of me, trying to imagine myself as a stunning dancer. But what I saw was not a confident dancer, but a girl who doubted herself.
After a while of practicing, I felt exhausted. My body felt stiff, and my mind began to wander. I sat on the floor, putting my hands on my face, trying to calm myself down. I felt so confused. All the efforts I had fought for, would it be enough? All of this seemed too big for me to handle alone.
Suddenly, Dina came over to me with light steps. Her always cheerful face seemed to give me new energy. “Hey, what’s wrong with you?” she asked as she sat beside me.
I took a deep breath, trying to control my emotions. “I just feel scared, Din. I’m afraid that I’m not good enough, afraid that I’ll fail.”
Dina looked at me with caring eyes. She took my hand, holding it tightly. “Yulia, you never fail as long as you don’t stop trying. Remember, you’ve come this far. Don’t let fear stop you. You have everything you need to succeed.”
Dina’s words were like a flow of energy that entered me. I stared at her, contemplating what she had just said. She was right, I had fought so hard. Why should I stop just because of fear? I know, this journey is not easy. No one said that dreams would be achieved easily. But I was here, at this point, and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me.
With renewed vigor, I stood back up and continued my workout. Every movement that had felt so heavy before began to feel easier. I began to flow with the music, following the beat and the movements with confidence. Every step, every turn, began to lead to a clear goal. I realized that even though it felt like I was struggling alone, I had friends who were always there to support me. I wasn’t really alone.
Day by day, our practice got better. Preparations for the art competition were getting more mature, and I felt the enthusiasm among my friends getting stronger. Although not everything was perfect, there was a strong sense of togetherness. We not only practiced together, but also supported each other. Every shortcoming we faced became a reason to fight even harder.
However, behind the growing enthusiasm, there was one big test that I had to face. The final semester exam arrived, and this was the exam that would determine our graduation. I could no longer avoid it. The pending assignments had to be completed, and I had to face it with full readiness. I knew, this was the time to prove that I could overcome anything.
The day of the exam came, and I sat on my bench with tension felt throughout my body. My mind wandered, remembering every day that I had gone through with full struggle. Days filled with practice, assignments, exams, and fear. But now, I know that what I have done so far is not in vain.
When the exam sheets were distributed, I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself. I remembered every preparation I had done, every effort I had made. With confidence, I started working on the exam questions. Although nervous, I knew that I had given my best.
After the exam was over, there was a sense of relief flowing through me. This was not just about the exam, but also about the long journey I had gone through. All the effort, all the struggle, and every drop of sweat eventually led to one thing: belief in myself.
The night before the art competition, I sat on the balcony of my house, looking at the sparkling stars. I felt at peace, although there was still a little anxiety. However, now I know that this journey is not just about winning the competition or the exam. It is about moving forward, facing all challenges, and never giving up.
When the day of the competition arrived, I stood backstage with my friends, ready to show my best. We had practiced hard, and this was the time to show what we had fought for. I looked at their faces, and I knew, we would get through this together.
The music started, and I stepped onto the stage with steady steps. I don’t know what will happen after this, but one thing is for sure: I will give my best, because I know that every struggle, no matter how hard it is, will definitely produce something valuable.
And with that first step, I know, I have found the strength to keep fighting, no matter what happens.
So, how are you all, are there any of you who can conclude the short story above?
